Hi Soh, i was doing your first method and wondering why the image button would not align with the search input box, like you mentiond it..

The question is why? there is no reason to doing this?

ANYBODY know why the image button is not align with the search input box?

hi… i’m a little lost with this, i’m sorry. i need to know how should then i design the search_bg.gif image… is it just one bar and a button all together, or three of them in one image as you showed on the beginning of the post. … again sorry my ignorance.

I’ve got it working perfectly except on my Mac with Safari and Chromium the search button appears beneath the input box. I’ve tried everything and it just doesn’t want to be placed inline…

This is totally awesome, I love it!
However, I got a problem with it. Of course I’ve edited this to suit my needs, and it works like a charm in FireFox. Internet Explorer 8 is another case though – I don’t get the hover to work at all. Any tips or tricks?

Any ideas?! I’m all out, and afraid to tweak too much or else it won’t work at all Thanks for the tutorial, Soh. Just need it to work in IE8 too. (Your example at here works in IE8, but not my own version)
